Youth Sports Health Coordinator, Northeastern University
The
Youth Sports Health Coordinator is responsible for Urban Youth Sports
program implementation and management, community organizing,
relationship and collaboration management. He/she is responsible for
implementing the goals and deliverables of The UYS Health Connection
program. He/she is responsible for identifying respective community
needs relating to youth physical activity and health and for developing
and implementing appropriate sports and physical activity programming
and appropriate life skills in collaboration with The UYS team. This
person will develop a relationship with key health staff and
pediatricians from their prospective health center. This person is
responsible for attending community and task forces meetings and other
meetings to help SIS meet our youth sport development goals. A core
function of this position is to develop and foster relationships in the
Community Health Centers, the community and with parents and children
of the surrounding
neighborhoods. This position will report to the Assistant Director of
The Health Connection on a team with other Youth Sports Health
Coordinators and the UYS
staff.
