HIV Community Health Worker
This
individual will conduct HIV prevention and education activities, and
provide rapid HIV testing to individuals and groups at risk for HIV
infection in community settings. Qualified candidates must have 3-5
years of experience in HIV prevention, education, outreach and rapid
HIV testing; current certification and proficiency in rapid HIV
testing; knowledge of HIV risk assessment/risk reduction and substance
abuse issues, including detox, rehab and recovery; and a valid driver’s
license with an unblemished driving record. Bilingual skills are a plus.
HIV Prevention and Education Coordinator
Duties
include the coordination and oversight of all HIV related prevention,
education, outreach and off site rapid HIV testing activities,
including operating the HIV van. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
experience in an HIV clinical setting; 3-5 years of program management
experience; knowledge of HIV risk assessment and risk reduction;
current certification in rapid HIV testing proficiency; strong
organizational, interpersonal communication, and time management
skills; and a valid driver’s license with an unblemished driving record
are required. Bilingual skills are a plus.
