National Child Passenger Safety Week is September 20-27th!  
 
AAA Southern New England has planned to mark this week
by holding a CAR SEAT ROUND-UP. Beginning next week, any AAA Southern
New England branch office will accept old or unsafe infant, car and
booster seats and offer a $5.00 “bounty” for each seat.
People will have the option to receive a $5.00 check or donate
the $5.00 to Safe Kids for the purchase of new safety seats for
families in need.  Please find the attached flyer to post and
distribute!
 
We will also be distributing educational child passenger
safety kits to pediatricians throughout our territory.  Our goal
is to ensure that parents and caregivers receive up-to-date information
on properly restraining their child (especially in light of the change
in the law on booster seats) from their health care provider.
 
Finally, AAA will be hosting a press conference on
Boston’s City Hall Plaza at 11am on Friday, September 26th.
(The  unsafe seats collected throughout the state will be
destroyed at the event and Safe Kids will receive the
“bounty” donation.  Please join us!
