Last Day to Register

The Boston Election Department would like to remind all residents that October 17, 2007 is the last day to register to vote in order to participate in the municipal election on November 6, 2007 . On November 6, Boston voters will elect four at-large City Councillors from a field of nine candidates. There are also district contests in City Council districts 3, 4, 7 and 9. Incumbent Councillors in Districts 1, 2, 5, 6 and 8 are unopposed for re-election. For a list of candidates, visit the www.cityofboston.gov/elections . Voters who have moved within the past year should update their voting information by re-registering from their new addresses. The Election Department Office, in Room 241 at Boston City Hall, will be open until 8:00 p.m. on October 17 to accommodate last-minute registrants. Mail-in registration forms can be picked up at many libraries, health centers and community centers or may be downloaded from the above website.  Registration forms sent by mail must be postmarked by October 17 in order to be processed for the November 6 municipal election. Send all registrations to: Boston Election Department, Room 241, Boston City Hall, Boston, MA 02201.
