The Dot Board is a bulletin board... it the place just about anything that might be of interest to your Dorchester neighbords.

The center of the Dot Board page displays brief summaries the most recent posts regardless of the category.

Posting to the Dot Board
If you're involved with a community group you might post announcements, volunteer opportunities and program schedules. Or you might post a restaurant review or tip on where to get fresh produce.

Posting is easy. If you are logged-in you will see a "create dot board entry" link in the My Dorchester menu. You must give your entry a title and some description but most of the fields are optional. The important thing to remember is to tag or categorize your post with useful keywords. Anything goes but choose carefully and use existing tags when possible to help people find your post.

Categories / Tags
If you are interested in something specific, you'll want to check out the Categories menu in the right hand column. This is a "tag cloud"-- a menu made up of the most popular categories in the Dot Board. You'll notice that the size of the letters are different. This is how a tag cloud works-- the size of the letters is a reflection of the number of posts that have been made in that category.
